Daniel 7:2 I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them; 22 Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.

Although prophecy is laced throughout this entire book and even specifically in this chapter,  I find it interesting that Daniel saw this vision that saints were losing the battle until the ancient of days came, then the ancient of days gave the judgment to the saints and they possessed the kingdom.

For a long time I thought this scripture was referring to a future state in which and until then we just keep doing the best we can.  I do believe Jesus in returning, and it could be soon; however, I discovered another scripture that challenged my perspective on what do we do in the mean time.

John 12: Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. 32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. 33 This he said, signifying what death he should die.

It is difficult to reconcile that Jesus had a partial victory by reading John 12.  We either believe Jesus’ death burial and resurrection was sufficient or we do not. We either believe the ascension and that now He is seated in majesty and above all principalities or we do not.  We are living in the Now of Christ.  That changes things.  So If Jesus won the victory, then we that are in him are victorious as well.

Let me encourage you, Jesus is coming back, but until He does, realize that He made provision on the cross that was sufficient to overcome death, sin, and the curse.  Let’s engage and bring the civilization of Heaven to an uncivilized earth and increase the kingdom of God in every area of influence we have.
