In the conclusion to “To, Through, and From the Cross” Pastor Kevin compares the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus to processes in our own spiritual lives. There are seasons of spiritual “death”, where everything seems dead and there is an overwhelming sense of loss. It is followed by the season of “the grave”. We are isolated, people may pull away from us, and whatever is not of Christ disintegrates into dust. But in the times when we feel His Presence the least is when Jesus is doing His greatest work. He then brings us to the season of “resurrection” where we burst forth from the grave with new life that will never be destroyed. Jesus bought our salvation on Calvary 2000 years ago, but that was just the firstfruit of millions of stories of resurrected spiritual lives from that time until now!
