In my life I have had many losses and disappointments that have nearly crushed me. I have tried to reason some of them out and come up short of answers to the point of not really trusting God to do the right thing as I see it. Resting in God is not an automatic thing. For me I think it started with a "giving up" and letting go. Then I realized I am in that place of rest He wants me to be in of not trying to figure it all out...just trusting . The pressure is off when we don't have to understand the why of things . Thank you Pastor Kevin for the encouraging words . Looking forward to more of the "just because He wants to" in my life and the lives of my family.

I will have mercy on who I will have mercy. But with what understanding and by what standard do we define mercy? Through what lens are we looking? Is it the external or the eternal? And who's purpose would the answers to many of our questions serve? Could it be that the answers that seem to allude us actualy pursue us. It is when we are cought by the answer that we stand in awe.

I believe that we must simplify our Christian walk so as to redeem the time. I know personally, that I have spent too much time trying to figure out what God is doing & missing the point. God is love & the main thing, as I see it at present, is to be fruitful & multiply. I am happy to be moving out of the religious to the spiritual. The greatest thing that I can do is love God & man, He will take care of the rest & I will enter into His rest when I do what He says. When we receive the Power of the Holy Spirit, we have power to be His witnesses & that involves the thing that others need most, LOVE which requires the Fruit of the Holy Spirit. Some things just aren't expedient.
